Destinations

Florence

In an environment with such exciting art, history, culture, food and wine as Florence (a UNESCO Heritage Site famous all over the world), there is no lack of infrastructures that can provide a strong welcome to the participants of conventions, meetings, congresses or any other type of event.

Choosing Florence as a location for events or congresses means being able to count on an efficient and functional network. The city, being in the heart of Italy, is easily reachable from all over the world by air thanks to the city airport Amerigo Vespucci and the nearby International Airport of Pisa, but also from every corner of our country as Italy has never been so small, thanks to the high-speed train connections. Choosing Florence also means being able to appreciate the perfect combination of modernity and high-level hospitality, thanks to an efficient conference centre and a myriad of impressive venues scattered in the city. Firenze Fiera Congress & Exhibition Centre is an exclusive area of the city centre, a group of three venues located next to each other to satisfy every need.

Gothenburg

Friendly Gothenburg, on the scenic west coast of Sweden, has a strategic location in between the Scandinavian capitals. In the compact city centre is the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre, with its inhouse 1,200-room-hotel Gothia Towers. Close by are exciting venues for networking events, such as the national science centre Universeum, and the brand new experience centre World of Volvo. Almost everything is within walking distance and the picturesque archipelago islands are only a tram ride away.

Gothenburg is a leading research region and a fast-growing hotspot for innovation and sustainable development. The city is a global leader in sustainability and offers every opportunity to make a meeting more sustainable. Collaboration is the superpower of Gothenburg, and the long tradition of collaboration between the private, public, and academic sectors enables easy access to the city.

Ljubljana

Ljubljana, the European Green Capital of 2016, is easily accessible, only a two-hour flight away from the major European hubs. It has two big Congress and Exhibition/Convention centres within the city centre. With 290,000 residents, Ljubljana is a safe, green, compact, walking city, which features a wealth of history, style, arts and culture, and an atmosphere that is both Central European and Mediterranean. Also, it is the birthplace of architect Jože Plečnik, whose multitude of creations in the city are listed as UNESCO’s World Heritage.

Ljubljana is an ideal departure point to quickly reach many of Slovenia’s attractions, among which one finds original settings for outdoor events. With the dedicated support of experienced and creative destination partners, Ljubljana strives to deliver a professional and authentic experience with a strong personal touch and very good value for money!

Lyon

As the second city in France for international association meetings (ICCA 2024 ranking), Lyon has a great deal to offer you: a central location in Europe combined with good access, excellent reception facilities and the charm of a 2,000-year-old city which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with two rivers crossing it. It’s not just a gastronomic capital with 17 starred chefs, it’s also a creative city in the fields of fashion, arts and culture.

Thanks to its economic dynamism, excellent infrastructure and the quality of its hotels, Lyon has become a major European business tourism destination. The Lyon Convention Bureau is committed to support event organisers in developing more environmentally friendly practices, to promote the eco-friendly local partners, and to share tips and tools to increase the number of sustainable events hosted in the city.

Porto

Porto beckons with an irresistible blend of tradition and innovation. While it’s famed for its iconic Port wine, this city offers an experience that transcends the grape. Wander through the labyrinthine streets of its UNESCO-recognised historic core, and amidst these timeless cobblestones, you’ll uncover centuries-old monuments, traditional markets, and family-run restaurants that promise an authentic Portuguese taste. Porto & North Region lead the way in sustainability, with 70% of their electric energy sourced from renewables.

Moreover, it is home to globally recognized scientific communities, and their ground-breaking research and innovation in various fields contributes to the advancement of knowledge and technology on a global scale. In essence, Porto has seamlessly integrated sustainability, cutting-edge research, and top-tier event services into their DNA. Visitors to this vibrant and authentic locale not only experience the charm of its town, famous cuisine, and warm-hearted people but also witness a commitment to a brighter, greener future that leaves an indelible mark.

Rotterdam

Rotterdam is a young, dynamic world city that reinvents itself at a rapid pace. From its ever-changing skyline of striking architecture to the smartest port in the world and the can-do mentality of its diverse people, the city thrives on innovation. It’s a place where you can meet the unexpected in bold venues, creative solutions and surprising encounters.

Known internationally as the ‘Gateway to Europe’, Rotterdam offers outstanding connectivity through its world-class port, international airports and superior (digital) infrastructure. The city features three purpose-built convention centres in the city centre, including the Netherlands’ largest auditorium seating 4,400 delegates. Add repurposed architectural icons on land and water, and every event becomes memorable. With over 11,400 hotel rooms in Rotterdam, 18,300 when including nearby cities, your delegates will find comfort and convenience at every turn.

Salzburg

As a medium sized city in the heart of Europe, Salzburg has become increasingly important as a centre for knowledge and innovation. A UNESCO world heritage site in the city centre, lakes and mountains, skiing resorts, urban city life and rustic country chic – contrast & variety characterise the baroque city and the alpine province of Salzburg. The proximity between venues, sights and transport connections make logistics easy and efficient.

In addition to its geographic location and world renowned attractions, the research centres, excellence clusters, economic structure and ground breaking discoveries, awards, and public figures also play a decisive role in Salzburg’s attractiveness as a event location. Centres of excellence are material science, engineering, ICT, medical science and cultural industries, especially represented by the famous music university Mozarteum and the Salzburg festivals. A congress with up to 5.000 participants or an incentive with 10 people in a mountain lodge – everything is possible and you have the choice!

Valencia

Valencia is a city that captivates everyone who visits. What starts as a business trip often transforms into a leisure getaway. Valencia boasts a unique set of assets that make it an unexpectedly amazing destination for hosting any type of event.

Dive into a culinary adventure with a diverse gastronomic scene that seamlessly blends traditional flavours with avant-garde creations. Experience exceptional weather conditions that beckon you to explore historical, sporting, and cultural offerings throughout the city or along the ancient Turia Riverbed post-event. Valencia’s architectural contrasts, featuring both historic landmarks and futuristic buildings, add another layer of allurement. Navigate the city effortlessly by bike or public transportation. Our carefully curated hotels and impressive venues, adaptable to any event, set us apart, ensuring an unforgettable and successful experience.
