A key success story was Florence’s winning bid for the European Society of Surgical Oncology Congress 2023, initiated during an EU CVB event in Brussels.
Scheduled for September 2025, the Low Vision International Congress will be a unique showcase of how inclusive measures can generate direct local impact, leading to the implementation of tactile signage in museums, partnerships with local institutions and further improvement of accessible paths at Firenze Fiera.
Rotterdam: Innovation Meets Regeneration
Rotterdam brings a bold, future-focused mindset to the EU CVB Network. Known as Europe’s smartest port, the city aligns conferences with real-world challenges, climate action, digital transformation, and sustainable logistics. Its involvement in the network has amplified global visibility and enabled joint bidding and knowledge exchange. Looking ahead, Rotterdam is preparing to host the PCMA Convening Leaders conference from 14 to 16 October 2025. This event is a significant milestone that highlights the city’s ambition to be a leader in global event innovation. “Hosting PCMA Convening Leaders is more than a showcase,” said Hamann.
“Through Rotterdam Collaboration for Change, we align events with the city’s long-term goals: inclusion, innovation and sustainability. It is a unique approach where business events leave a lasting legacy and contribute to a better future.”
